STSA: I Am Thankful

STSA: I Am Thankful

My family – we’re Thanksgiving people. We hold Christmas sacred, but we love Thanksgiving almost as much.

With that in mind, I want to pass along something to make you think as much as smile. Several people, in fact, sent me something similar. Thanks to Kate, Denise, Dave, Heather, and Alexis from parts scattered wide and far.

In addition to the following, I am thankful for you, too.

STSA: Lighter Side of Politics

STSA: Lighter Side of Politics

Well, it’s finally over. I guess.

I hope your candidates won. I hope you’re optimistic and hopeful about the future. I hope you’re as glad as I am that the nasty political ads are finally done. There were a couple races here where I didn’t feel like voting for EITHER of them. They were just mean!

So, in their honor …

STSA: The Sermon

STSA: The Sermon

I was on the fence this time about whether to do something Halloween-related or not. We were never big fans of it around our house, but we did buy candy for other neighborhood kids.

STSA: Dentist Sign Language

STSA: Dentist Sign Language

It’s time for my six month visit to the dentist.

You know how hard it is to talk to your dentist when your teeth are being cleaned? Me, too. No more mumbling!

My friend Nancy sent me these. It’s sign language for your dentist. Give him these (numbered 1-10) when you visit.

Then, you can just hold up a corresponding number of fingers to the appropriate phrase you wish to convey to your dentist.

The dentist would not need to stop to ask you to repeat yourself and could fix the problem right away.

STSA: From the Mouths of Babes

A friend recently, somewhat surprisingly, became pregnant with what will be their third child. We’re all celebrating with her as it’s somewhat surprising given her age … which will remain secret. :)

They grow up so fast. We’re all excited to help her relive the moments of little ones. Thanks to Holly in Santa Fe for sharing these!

STSA: R.I.P. Summer Vacation

Let us bow our heads and fondly remember the summer that has – once again – passed far too quickly.

Let us give thanks to school teachers who must, once again, go back to work and help our children become productive human beings.

This is from one of them for the rest of them!
