STSA #43 Counting & Quoting Blessings

Something to Smile About :)

Above all, I’m thankful for the fact that my parents taught me to be grateful. It’s blessed my life in ways exponential. I have tried my best to pass that along to my children, and I hope it continues.

Thanks for reading this every couple weeks and for sharing it with others. Thank you for your unique gifts.

Bet We Can Get You to Smile Again, Visit Epic Dental!

Make it a habit to tell people thank you. To express your appreciation, sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Truly appreciate those around you, and you’ll soon find many others around you. Truly appreciate life, and you’ll find that you have more of it.
– Ralph Marston

When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.
– Willie Nelson

So often we dwell on the things that seem impossible rather than on the things that are possible. So often we are depressed by what remains to be done and forget to be thankful for all that has been done.
– Marian Wright Edelman

It is impossible to feel grateful and depressed in the same moment.
– Naomi Williams

In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.
– Albert Schweitzer

Things turn out best for people who make the best of the way things turn out.
– John Wooden

If you concentrate on finding whatever is good in every situation, you will discover that your life will suddenly be filled with gratitude, a feeling that nurtures the soul.
– Rabbi Harold Kushner

There is a calmness to a life lived in Gratitude, a quiet joy.
– Ralph H. Blum

Feeling grateful or appreciative of someone or something in your life actually attracts more of the things that you appreciate and value into your life.
– Christiane Northrup

Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.
– Oprah Winfrey

Some hopefully inspirational quotes to kick off the next eight days of Thanksgiving. We’ll get back to humor next time, but in the meantime, I must simply say I am also thankful for our sponsor, Epic Dental!

STSA #42: Empty seat

Something to Smile About :)

Good morning! I got a lot of good feedback last time by just giving you a simple, tellable joke instead of the email list-type things we typically send out. We’ll get back to one of those for Thanksgiving, but here’s a great one for the full-swing of football season.

Bet We Can Get You to Smile Again, Visit Epic Dental!

A [insert your football team] fan was enjoying himself at the game in a packed [name of your stadium], until he noticed an empty seat down in front.

He went down and asked the guy next to it if he knew whose seat it was.

The guy said, “Yes, that’s my wife’s seat. We have never missed a game since the [famous player from 20-30 years ago] days, but now my wife is dead.”

The fan offered his sympathy and said it was really too bad that he couldn’t find some relative to give the ticket to and enjoy the game together.

“Oh no.” the guy said. “They’re all at the funeral.”

Okay. That’s bad, I know. You know what else is bad? Cavities and all the food and sugary treats we consume during the upcoming holiday season. Actually, sugar season’s underway with the Halloween kickoff. Make sure you’re stocked up on the Cavity-Fighting Goodness found easily and in ample supply at Epic Dental.
