If your diet encourages lowering sucrose, this is an excellent option but given that it is still a sugar, I would be interested to know its glycemic impact. Xylitol lacks the aftertaste and filmy mouth feel when compared to regular cane sugar, honey or commercial substitutes, especially aspartame. Since I have only used this product in small amounts of hot liquid, I still need to experiment to see if it dissolves as well in iced tea or lemonade.
